First Co-Chairs announced to lead
the Oxfordshire Business Awards
Ahead of the 29th Oxfordshire Business Awards, the OXBA team is excited to announce changes to the Board. For the first time in the Awards history, the Board will be led by Co-Chairs, Heather Wood, Founder of Keep Me Fabulous and Simon Bassett, Partner at RWK Goodman. Both Heather and Simon were elected to the new roles earlier this month.
Heather and Simon take over from Paul Lowe, Partnership Secretary at Wiggin Osborne Fullerlove, who will stand down as Chairman of the OXBA after nearly 20 years at the helm. A huge thanks must go to Paul from us all at the OXBA for all the time and support he has dedicated to the Awards.
In another exciting update, the OXBA team is delighted to announce and welcome Andy Cowie, Partner at James Cowper Kreston as a new Director. Andy’s appointment sees him join fellow OXBA Directors; Nigel Tipple (OxLEP), Richard Wratten (Hays) as well as Heather and Simon.
Heather Wood said: “I am pleased to have joined the Board of the Oxfordshire Business Awards as Co-Chair.
“Having attended the Awards Dinner for over a decade and having been involved as a sponsor of the Awards for the last 12 months, it is always inspiring to see so many remarkable local businesses come together to celebrate and recognise the diversity and achievements within Oxfordshire’s business community.
“I am excited to contribute alongside fellow Board members and sponsors in delivering what promises to be an exceptional Oxfordshire Business Awards in 2025.”
Simon Bassett said: “Having been a longstanding supporter of the Oxfordshire Business Awards (OXBA), I am pleased to have been elected, alongside Heather, as the new Co-Chair for the OXBA.
"As a local business, at RWK Goodman we take great pride in working with and supporting individuals and businesses from across the Oxfordshire region. The Awards allow us to continue to connect and build relationships, recognise achievement, as well as give something back to the local business community”.
